Born April 13, 1939 in Laredo, TX, the son of Santiaga Gonzalez, passed away March 21, 2012 at the age of 72. Pilar was preceded in death by his mother; and son, Pilar Gonzalez, Jr.. Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Josefina; daughters, Brenda Gonzales (Luis Aponte), Lisa (Guadalupe) Alvarez and Gina Gonzalez; sons, Michael (Tabitha) Gonzalez and Jose (Nicole) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Aletha, Alicia, Craig, Roberto, Marianna, Gabriella, Michael, Jr., Enrique, Katie, Joshua, Garrett, and Jacob; ten great grandchildren; four brothers; and sister Josefina Ortiz (Jose). A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM on March 24, 2012 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 201 W. Miller Rd., Lansing, MI with the Rev. Fred Thelen officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
