

Ralph Arthur Davison, 80, beloved husband, dad, Grandpa, and great-grandpa passed away August 31, 2017 at home from cancer. Ralph was born in Boyne City, Michigan to Edward D. and Mabel R. (Green) Davison. He lived in Eagle, Michigan during his growing up years with his brother, Gus and sister, Jennie. Then later moved to Lansing, Michigan with his parents.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Sally, of 59 years of marriage, sons; Douglas (Chris) Haugsby, Dennis (Lynne) Haugsby, five grandchildren; Tracie (Lance) Keeter, Ryan (Chris) Haugsby, Ashley (Dane) Erickson, Hannah Haugsby, Hunter Haugsby and five great-grandchildren; Kaydin, Aubrey, and Avery Erickson and McKenzie and Rylee Keeter. His sister, Jennie (Jon) Swanson, sister in laws; Nona and Bonnie Davison, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parent, Edward D. and Mabel R. Davison, Grandparents, infant brother David, brother Gus Davison, two half-brothers, Frank and John Davison and sister-in-law, Barbara Davison.
Ralph worked several jobs during his life span, worked in construction, had his own gas station, worked as a steeplejack (where he met his wife Sally and her two children in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.) They moved several times their first year of marriage, then settled in Lansing, Michigan where he worked at John Bean Corporation before going into teaching small engines at Hill Vocational and Sexton High Schools and part-time teacher at Lansing Community College.
After retiring, Ralph and Sally did some traveling in their motorhome, enjoying camping with their family and for the last 23 years they spent six months in Lansing and six months in Palmetto, Florida at Tree Lakes RV Resort. Ralph enjoyed working in his garage, around his home, searching the web and reading.
Family will greet friends and relatives from 5:00p.m. -8:00p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the funeral home; per Ralph’s wishes he will be cremated.
