Rev. Tingley was a lifelong dear friend of ours, and he will be missed. His preaching was instrumental in me (Larry) putting my faith and trust in Jesus long ago.

Pastor Tingley was my school bus driver when growing up in Brown City, and he was Berneda's pastor when we were dating. He performed our wedding in 1965 in Brown City.

After we both ended up in the Lansing area, he would stop by my office in Haslett frequently just to visit, or let me know what was going on at Camp Michael. I helped the camp with some engineering issues on and off through the years.

Whenever we would greet, he would ask: "How are you?" And I would automatically respond: "We are doing good. How are you?" To which he would always respond: "Well, I know I'm saved and going to Heaven!"

Bernie and I wish the Tingley family great peace and comfort these days that is ours for the asking through our Lord Jesus Christ as you celebrate Pastor's promotion, as well as that of Dorothy not so long ago.

Pastor Tingley was my friend and Mentor. I always considered him as my Paul and me his Timothy. I thank our God for the many sweet times of fellowship we had at Camp Michael. The trip to Frankenmuth we made together as couples was epic. His advice was priceless. He gave me a whole three ring binder full of his sermon notes, which I will read, use and cherish.

We grieve due to the temporary separation we have with Uncle Ralph and Aunt Dorthy, but rejoice in knowing they are together forever with our Lord and Savior. Uncle Ralph prayed over me during my ordination as a minister of the gospel and I have been encouraged by his great testimony of faithfulness as a servant of the Lord. Praying for you Bruce & Sharon, May God’s comforting hand be upon you and your families.
