Randy Jay Fish

Randy J. Fish, age 66 of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 in Lansing, Michigan. Randy was born March 2, 1954 in Lansing, Michigan the son of Arthur J. and Shirley E. (Bowes) Fish. Randy worked at Motor Wheel in Lansing. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. He had a fondness for animals and caring for them. Randy was a member of Church of the Resurrection, Lansing, Michigan. Randy is survived by his brother, Gary S. (Kathleen) Fish; brother, Mark S. Fish; nephew, Michael Fish; niece, Meaghan Fish; aunt, Julieta Fish; uncle, Albert Alm; many cousins. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Church of the Resurrection 1505 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI 48912. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Memorials in Randy’s honor may be made to Church of the Resurrection or Ingham County Humane Society. Dear Gary, Mark and Kathy:

It was with profound sadness that I heard the news about Randy. I just cannot believe it.

It seems just like yesterday that he, Mark, Gordie and I were running around the neighborhood at all times of day. At night watching the bats fly around. Staying off the front lawn because it was your Dad's pride and joy. Playing kickball in the street during the day or walking down to the corner store to get comics or baseball cards? I cannot remember on the cards but always thought it was cool.

Of course along with that was you Gary because you were older and Chuck. How funny you both were. You made me laugh.

As the younger cousin I always looked forward to coming to your house for a week in the summer. There was always something going on.

I also remember the steep driveway that Randy would ride his bike down like it was nothing. He was always so kind to me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Randy was a HUGE sports fan and that was always a bonding subject to discuss with his cousins, which I am one of. I have very fond memories of spending several Thanksgivings at Art and Shirley's house, and being in awe of Randy's sports collection of miniature NFL helmets!

I am very saddened to hear of Randy's passing. He is now with his parents at the ultimate destination, that is comforting. Tim and Pam Fish

My favorite memories of Randy are when he would play with my dogs. He was so good with them. Randy would laugh as he watched my dogs play in the yard. He had such a kind heart. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Randy will be missed.

Mark and Family,
Randy was a great neighbor to us. Always ready with a smile, wave and conversation. Generously picked up our mail and watched the house while we were on vacation. As one of our daughters said, he was a gentle soul.
