
Former Holt and Lansing resident Randy Robinson, 61, passed peacefully May 25th, 2014, at Eaton Community Palliative Care Center surrounded by loved ones.
Randy Robinson was born April 20th, 1953 to Donald and Mary Frances (Hunt) Robinson of Holt.
Randy graduated from Okemos High school as a Chieftain in 1971. He later worked for Holt Public School district driving school bus for many happy years before having to retire early due to health problems.
Randy’s true joy was in the people he surrounded himself with: his family and friends. All who knew him could expect a comfortable chair and open ear when they stepped up onto his front porch. Randy spent his life loving and caring for others whether it be his parents and grandparents, or the neighborhood kids; everyone knew and loved Randy. He lived his life with compassion and generosity, always appreciating a good time with colorful company.
Randy is preceded in death by parents, Donald and Mary Frances (Hunt) Robinson, and grandparents, Buford and Lela (Mitchel) Hunt.
Randy is survived by brother and best friend, Ricky Lee (Becky) Robinson, and his two very special nieces, Brittany Rose and Michelle Marie, as well as many dear friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Dimondale Community Center, Heartland Home Hospice, and Eaton Community Palliative Care Home for the wonderful care they provided Randy.
A visitation will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI 48912.
