Age 83, Richard was born Sept 23, 1928 in Lansing MI to Steven and Lucille (Rogienski) Chmielewicz and died March 28, 2012. Richard worked 33 years for General Motors and also taught at Grand Ledge High School. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and enjoyed MSU athletics. He is survived by his wife, Edith (Alagna); daughters, Carmela (John) Malark, Mary (husband;Bill Motchan) Chmielewicz; sons Stephen and John Chmielewicz; grandchildren, Connor and Cara Malark; brother, Leonard (Virginia) Chmielewicz and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
