Richard Allan “Dick” Rosenburg, 83, passed away on July 10, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan, the city where he was born on August 11, 1941. His life was marked by dedication to his work, devotion to his family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Dick graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing in 1959. He began his professional journey as an assembly worker at Diamond Rio in Lansing, Michigan. His strong work ethic and attention to detail led to a promotion as a purchasing agent—a role that would define much of his career.
In 1969, Dick transferred to Exton, Pennsylvania, where he continued his work as a purchasing agent for Autocar. Five years later, in 1974, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, taking on the same role with White Motors. In 1985, he joined Stalwart Rubber in Newberry, Ohio. His career path eventually brought him to Jasper, Georgia in 1991 before returning home to Lansing in 2000. There, he began a new chapter with United Parcel Service (UPS) as an air ramp employee until his retirement in 2015.
Throughout these many moves and transitions, Dick remained grounded by his love for family and the outdoors. He found joy in golfing, hunting, target shooting, and fishing—activities that connected him with nature and brought him peace. Known for his playful spirit, he also enjoyed playing cards—especially cheating at Five Crowns with a mischievous grin.
A devoted father and grandfather, Dick was an unwavering supporter of his children’s athletic pursuits. He rarely missed a football or hockey game over the years and took great pride in cheering them on from the sidelines.
Remaining to cherish Dick’s memory are his sons Richard (Gemma) and Timothy (Barbara); grandchildren Timothy Jr. (Sarah), Brian, Damon (Annamarie), and Kaleigh (Jonathan); great-grandchildren Mara, Theia, Violet, and Trevor; brothers Gordon (Marlene) and David (Carol); and niece Amy Densteadt (Rod).
He was preceded in death by his wife Judith Dudley Rosenburg; parents Carter and Edith; brothers Frank Lynde and Arnold Lynde; sisters Donna Lucile Hein, Joyce David, and Charlene Majeski; nephews Matt Rosenburg and Todd David.
