Passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born in Deirmimas, Lebanon. She came to Lansing as a young bride of Joseph J. Corey and lived the rest of her life in Lansing. She was active in many Church Women?s clubs as well as Lebanese Women?s clubs.
Rita is preceded in death by her Husband Joseph; sister Angel Khouri; and her brother Emad Fawaz. She is survived by her children Cindy (Roger) Golec, Craig Corey; her brothers Fawaz (Awatef) Fawaz, and Sudki (Sofie)Fawaz of Lebanon; and the families of Abood, Corey, Fawaz, Gamel, Hourani, Khouri and Nakfoor.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw, Lansing, officiated by Fr. Mark Sietsema with a viewing one hour prior to service. Visitation will be from 5:00 ? 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing.
