Robert Edward Burnett

Robert Edward Burnett, born on December 24, 1934, the son of the late Arthur and Anna Burnett, passed away February 26, 2015 at the age of 80. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Fisher Body after 30 years of service. Robert liked being outdoors, especially hunting, and doing woodworking. He enjoyed his time at the cottage in Harrison, Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his family. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Donald and Herbert; sisters, Etta, Mabel and Betty. Surviving to cherish his memory are his former wife, Marlene; daughter, Cheryl Najm; son Marcus (Amy) Burnett; four grandchildren, Alexander, Andrew, Rachel and Mason; and sister, Helen Dickerhoof. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 2, 2015 at East Lawn Memory Gardens, 2400 Bennett Rd., Okemos, Michigan. The family will receive friends at 11:30 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Eaton Community Palliative Care, 2675 S. Cochran Rd., Charlotte, MI 48813.
