I was so sad to hear about Mr. Hasting’s passing. He and Mrs. Hastings gave me memories I will never forget. He was someone I always looked forward to seeing when he spent time at Steve and Jennifer’s and I enjoyed talking to him so much! Although he left this earth earlier than anyone thought he would, he left a huge impact on so many people. He will be missed.

My heart broke the day Scott called to share the news of Bob's passing. However, I was so honored to have received the call.

In the short time Bob and Kittie lived at Woodland Village Senior Community, we shared many of stories. They reminded me so much of my parents with the love they showed one another. Moving from their beautiful home to a 593 sq. ft. apartment couldn't have been easy. When the time would come for them to head north for the weekend/week(s), the smiles on their faces went from ear to ear. I saw Bob a few months back at a doctor's office, the lunch we were supposed to go out for never happened. :(

This photo was from our 2017 Senior Prom.

Rest in peace, Bob.

Uncle Bob will be truly missed! I can hear him now. He always yelled at me when playing euchre because it took me too long to decide what to make it LOL. It was always a good laugh. I’m going to miss his stories about my mom Joyce & Dad Bob and stories of my Grandma & Grandpa Dowling back in the day. He had such a good memory & I could listen forever. He & Aunt Kitty were always so good to Mark & I and the rest of the family. Lots of fun memories from when our families rented cottages together when we were young kids. We were blessed to have him in our lives & we will miss him forever. Love you Uncle Bob xxooo. Give Aunt Kittie a kiss & hug from us!! Love Tracy & Mark (Canooks)

The loss of Uncle Bob hasn’t been easy. I wish I could have been there for family. I don’t think it’s really going to sink in till the next time I go to the Covered Bridge Camp, walk in, don’t hear Uncle Bob razzing me about all my luggage, look over at the table and he’s not there. I still have the envelope with the map and directions to the camp that Aunt Kittie sent me from 1986. That was the start for me to get to know Bob. He taught me a lot over the years and I’ll be forever grateful. So many memories, so many good times. Hunting, cutting wood, touring around to neighbouring camps, talking and laughing with family and friends at the bar and on the back deck overlooking the river, and Bob got a real kick out of winning my Canadian money in poker. Our golf outings were always a great time too. I’ve lost a good friend. Love you Uncle Bob.

Bob and Kittie were always the most generous and gracious hosts whenever we visited them at their beautiful property up North. We will always have fond memories of them both and will miss them dearly.
