Mason, MichiganAt the age of 76, our loving husband, uncle and friend passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2008 in Lansing. Born July 16, 1931 in Cheboygan, Michigan he was the son of Robert and Helen (Bowman) Jewell. Bob was a Helicopter Crew Chief for the U.S. Army serving in Korea and Vietnam for 21 years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 9 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies, especially westerns. His parents precede him in death. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Marion Y. Jewell; brothers, David (Celeste?) Jewell, Fred (Arline) Jewell; sister, Mary Ellen (Bob) Burk; many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 6-8PM Monday, July 14, 2008 with Funeral Services 10:30AM Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing 48917. Pastor James E. Robinson, officiating. Interment will be Delta Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing Stoneleigh Residence, 33411 Stoneleigh Drive, Lansing 48910 in memory of Bob.
