Age 77, passed away unexpectedly July 17, 2012. Born August 28, 1934 in Jackson, MI.
Bob retired from the Lansing Public School District ? Woodcreek Elementary School after 25 years of service. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in both Korea and Vietnam. He was a life member of Morley Oates V.F.W. Post #701 and was an active member of the Post?s Color Guard, which was a major passion in his life.
Surviving are his daughter, Christine Hanson; 3 grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Hanson, Matthew (Tina) Hanson, and Catherine Hanson; 1 great-granddaughter, Norianna Hanson; sister, Mary Ann Wesley and 6 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 26, at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Deacon Jim Corder of St. Gerard Church officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the V.F.W. #701 Color Guard. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Wednesday with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary at the funeral home. Interment will be later at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery
