Roberto Cruz Urista Jr.

Roberto C. Urista Jr. was born June 5, 1984 in Detroit, Michigan. After his family migrated to the Lansing area, Robert graduated from Mason High School and went on to earn degrees in Biology and Sociology from Grand Valley State University. He was employed as a Wound Care Nurse at Eaton County Health and Rehabilitation Services for over nine years.

Roberto loved life and people. He had a sarcastic sense of humor and if you were the target, it meant you were really liked. Robert’s first love was music and he loved to sing. He started singing at a young age and entertained the neighbors with outdoor mini concerts. He was often called upon to sing at celebrations and other special occasions. He loved cooking, especially trying new recipes on his family and friends.

Roberto passed away suddenly June 3, 2020. He was immensely loved by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are Ricardo Urista, Roberto and Katrina Urista, Antonio and Valery Urista, Nicholas and Kelsey Urista, Antonio Urista Jr., Armani Urista, and Marlene Brown. Also a host of other family and friends that will forever miss him.
