My name is Vicki. I was one of your dental assistants. I'm the little redhead. I am saddened to see Roger has past on . Of all my patients in the past 40 years, Roger and Grace were among my favorite people. You were wonderful people and I know Roger will be missed. Grace he will be your guardian angel now, I'm so sorry for your broken heart.

Hey Grace, we'll miss roger naturally.Betty and I  will always remember the good times over the more than35 years that we've known each  other. Marriage encounter , then good times from those days forward. Hawaii was always just another day in paradise,per Roger. Many boat rides , sneaking into our yard, cannon shots etc. God bless.

Grace, you and Roger have been a part of my family for as long as I can remember. I will miss him. I feel fortunate to have been able to talk to him a couple of times recently when he and dad were on their  lunch outings. May you find comfort and peace knowing he  is in the hands of The Lord now, free from the frustration of not being able to do all of the things he used to do. Find some time to rest and recover yourself, as a caregivers job is hard work.

Grace, Steve and Ron:  I am so sorry for your loss.  I think of you often and the fun times we shared in our back yards.  My kids still remember all of you. We have never had good neighbors like you since we moved.  Roger was a very special person and will be missed.  Our prayers are with you all.

We have been close friends with Roger and Grace for over 50 years.  We remember the good times we had together.  The birthday dinners with the "special" birthday cards.  the times at  their cottage and the many trips with Captain Roger on the Grand River.  We pray for Grace and the family. Grace, we're so sorry to hear of Roger,s passing.  you and your family are in our prayers.

My life with Roger began when we were 14 or 15 years old.  We loved to rabbit hunt and spent the next few years hunting together.  We then joined the Navy Reserves and went to boot camp at Great Lakes.  After that Roger joined the Navy and I joined the Marines.  We didn't see each other much during that time until a chance encounter when I was driving home on leave from Camp Lejeune and stopped at the Breezewood, PA, rest area.  I ran into Roger there who was hitchhiking home from New Jersey.  We rode on home together from there.

After we got out and settled into civilian life, Sue and I got married in 1960 and Roger and Grace were married two months later.  When our kids were small, we didn't do too much together.  Later Roger came to work at IMPCO where I worked.  We became close again and, for the next 20 years, we went deer hunting and played golf.

The four of us were great friends and traveled together many times.  We also went out to dinner on Saturday nights for several years, up until a couple of weeks ago.  During this time, Roger and I started going out to lunch every Wednesday and continued to do so until Roger went into the hospital a week ago.

Roger and Grace have been great friends to Sue and me.  We will miss Roger very much, but he is safe in God's hands now.

Roger was a wonderful, gentle man. Always kind and soft spoken. I have many fond memories of visiting Grace and Roger's home in Lansing many times throughout my childhood.  As I grew up and moved out to start my own family I saw Roger less often, but I always seemed to manage to bump into him at Meijers.  I have many warm, wonderful memories of him and his family that I keep close to my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with Grace, her sons, and their families as they experience his loss.
