Roger Glen Toebe was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to George F. and Elsie A. Toebe, and passed away at the age of 96. An accountant, he was employed by the State of Michigan in several departments; he retired in 1989 from the Office of the Budget, Department of Management and Budget.
During the Korean War, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Adjutant General’s branch in Heidelberg, Germany.
He enjoyed the retirement years especially time with his family, traveling, hiking, playing golf and reading books.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan A. Klein (Steven) and Janet M. Sawgle (Tracy); grandchildren, Laura Phillips (Jeremy), Jennifer Silveus (Clint), Trent Sawgle, Lisa Klein, Kelly Gosselin; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Phillips, Harper Phillips, and Claire Silveus. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Helen L. Toebe; daughter, Debra J. Toebe (Spalding); brother, Donald G. Toebe.
