Ronald Lee (Bud) Harden died Tuesday February 7th at his residence in Haslett, MI. Born in Lansing, MI on May 4th, 1937 to John Harden and Caroline (Dice) Coates. After graduating from Bath H.S. in 1956 he proudly entered the United States Army where he served in both Germany and the United States. Ron retired from the City of East Lansing after 26 years, and spent 30 years of retirement enjoying hunting, fishing, and bowling and in more recent years trips to the casinos. He was a member of the American Legion where he spent fun times with friends.
He is survived by his daughter Linda (Harden) Castillo, son-in-law Gilbert Castillo, Grandson Brycen Castillo, two sisters Shirley Lenz and Sandra Zickafoose (Jack), nephews, nieces, his extended family with Karolyn Harden, and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John & Caroline, brother Gary Harden, brother-in-law Robert Lenz and his son Richard Lee Harden who I'm sure was there to take his dad's hand and walk with him into heaven.
A Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Any donations can be made in memory of Ronald Lee Harden to the American Diabetes Association by going to https://donations.diabetes.org.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.grlansing.com.
