MARCH 25, 1951-JUNE 18, 2019
Ron was born in Montreal Canada on March 25, 1951. Ron was an only child. Ron was proceeded in death by his parents Alexander and Maria McLaren and his daughter Melissa Valentine, and Geoffrey Brand who Ron lovingly took care of as his own for 20 plus years. He is survived by his loving wife Jean McLaren of 28 years, Daughters Cheri' G. Davis of Lansing MI, Angella (Stephen) Lipinski of West Palm Beach Florida, Grandson Isiah Mims of Lansing, MI and Granddaughter Zion Keyes of Lansing, MI, and Zachary Gabrion of West Palm Beach, Florida. 2 Great Grandchildren Skylar Mims and Elijah Nash of Lansing.
Ron had many things he enjoyed doing. Some of these include: Riding his bike, fishing, going to the beach in Manistee, MI with his wife and of course spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Ron was a lifelong fan of University of Michigan Football - "Go Blue!" However - one of Ron's greatest joys was sharing his love for the Lord with others. Ron was a man of deep thought and love for the Lord Jesus. Ron was always happy to share his knowledge and love for him with others. He often shared words of wisdom and encouragement at work and on Facebook to encourage others to know and serve the Lord as well.
Ron also had a passion for playing his guitar at church as part of the worship team and this gave him great joy.
Ron brought laughter, love and joy to all those who knew him and he will be missed immensely.
Ron - now you can play your guitar for Geoff, Melissa, your parents and Jesus and enjoy the rewards of your salvation.
