Ronald Hugh Skiffington, age 97, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Ron was born June 29, 1927 in Clawson, the son of Hugh and Florence (Rogers) Skiffington. He was drafted into the United States Army in September of 1945, serving as a Boiler Fireman until November of 1946. In February of 1950 he married Lillie Perry, the love of his life, who preceded him in death. Ron retired from Lansing Public Schools after 27 years of service.
Surviving are his children, Carol Dickson, Ron Jr (Tessy), Kim Ketchum, and Tom (Sue); 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Terence Blake; son-in-law, Randy Dickson; sisters, Florine Wilson and Marilyn Yates.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
