

Rosemary “Rosie” Gordon, age 79, of Dimondale, Michigan, passed peacefully on September 14, 2025. Born on August 18, 1946, to Clarence and Fidelia (Daily) Tupper, Rosie grew up in central Michigan and graduated from Blanchard High School.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Terry Gordon Sr., and their children: Terry Gordon Jr. (Debbie), Tammy Hosford (Dale), Kimberly Boehm (Ronnie), and Kris Gordon. Rosie was a proud grandmother to Terry Gordon III, Tessa Hosford, Tait Hosford, Andrew Blazeff, Haley Gordon, and Alexis Boehm, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dakota and Bohdi Gordon. Her siblings Marylue Baily (Jim), Richard Tupper (Peggy) Sister in-law Sharon Taylor (Ron) Nancy Powers along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Dwayne her Aunt Helen and sister in law Diana Kesler.
Rosie’s professional journey began with an administrative role at the Michigan State Capitol. She later joined General Motors’ Oldsmobile Division, where she advanced from a line position to a skilled tradeswoman in the experimental engineering department. Her training at Lansing Community College ignited a lifelong passion for learning, and following retirement, she earned a degree in the arts. This marked the beginning of a vibrant second career as an artist. Her paintings, sculptures, and handcrafted creations brought joy to countless friends, family members, and strangers alike, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and generosity.
Rosie embraced life with curiosity and warmth. She found joy in traveling, gardening, crafting, wildlife, cribbage, euchre, and cheering on MSU Basketball. A transformative trip to Italy deepened her faith and led her to recommit to Catholicism. She was an active member of the St. Casimir and St. Gerard parishes in Lansing, where she served faithfully and lovingly. Known for her knitting, Rosie created hundreds of prayer shawls—each one a heartfelt gift of comfort, with a special stash reserved for those in need of extra prayers and hugs.
Her presence radiated kindness, strength, and inspiration. Rosie’s vibrant spirit and warm smile touched everyone she met, and her memory will continue to shine through the lives she enriched.
In recent years, Rosie was surrounded by the love and support of many amazing caregivers and friends who helped her live to the fullest. Their kindness and compassion meant the world to her, and she cherished them like family. The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the care, comfort and friendship they provided.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing, The American Cancer Society or St. Gerard Catholic Church.
Rosie’s strength, warmth and vibrant spirit touched all who knew her. Her unwavering love for her family and for Jesus will remain an enduring inspiration.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
