Sharon Kay Dexter

Lansing, MI

Born April 14, 1941 in Lansing, daughter of the late Russell and Evelyn Jaquette, passed away on May 31, 2012 into the arms of her Lord and Savior at the age of 71, after a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose tender heart will leave a legacy of comfort for her entire family. She was an avid bingo player, loved gambling and playing cards with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Dexter; and her son, Craig Chaffee. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Rodney Chaffee, Renee Prawdzik, Ronda Dexter, and Rachel (Michele Bourassa) Dexter; granddaughter, Natasha (Chris) Bowen; great grandson, Eli Christopher Bowen; and brother Jack (Connie) Jaquette; sister-in-law, Judy Hayward; and her beloved dog Lucy. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI.
