

Sharon was born on June 11, 1951 and lived her whole life in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from Waverly High School in 1969 and worked as an Executive Secretary for the State of Michigan until her retirement and then worked part time in the St Gerard Church office for several years.
Faith and family were at the forefront of her entire life. Her greatest joy was being a Mom and Amma Sharon. Her family was always her first priority.
Sharon loved to travel, swim, watch fireworks, and craft. She was an amazing cook and baker and enjoyed creating new things. She had a special way with words, making every note and card meaningful, and always offered her support and encouragement to everyone she met.
Family that has gone before her include her husband, Bill Hanratty and her Mom and Dad, Gerald and Virginia Granger.
To carry on her family legacy she leaves her sons, Steven (Cathleen) Edgerly, Jonathan (LeeAnn) Edgerly; grandchildren, Gianna, Dominic, Jacob, Ella and Anya; siblings, Linda Granger, Jerry Granger, and Lori (Jon) Arendsen; and nieces, Katrina and Sasha Granger.
To celebrate a life well-lived and the love of a dedicated Mother and Amma, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:30 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W Willow Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917, Father John Klein presiding. Following Mass, Sharon will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2520 W Willow Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Sharon to Stoneleigh Residence, Hospice of Lansing, 3411 Stoneleigh Drive, Lansing MI 48910. Their kindness, compassion and beautiful setting were a blessing.
