Sharon K Mullen

Lansing, MI

At the age of 65, Sharon peacefully went to be with The Lord, early on Sunday morning, July 17, 2011.

Sharon was born January 21, 1946 in Clarksville, TN at the Fort Campbell Army Base to Melvin R. and Katherine (Shipman) Mullen. She moved to Lansing with her family when she was four years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jolene Uridales. Sharon is survived by her 2 daughters, Kimberly (Ted) Thompson of Lansing, Sandra VanDenBossche of Bradenton, Fl; 2 brothers, Robert (Sandi) Mullen of Mason and Richard (Judy) Mullen of Dallas, GA; 6 grandchildren, Jason (Kayla), Corey, Angelina, Shanell (Derek), Alexis and Candice, 2 great-grandchildren; 3 uncles, Terry (Nancy) Norris of Farwell, MI, Luther Mullen of St. Johns, and Claude Mullen of Beaverton, KY; 4 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and her beloved poodle Pepper Jack.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially her grandchildren, playing bingo with her friends at Riverfront Towers, spending week-ends visiting and playing cards and Yahtzee with Vicky and Connie. She especially enjoyed going up north fishing with the family. Sharon was looking forward to the birth of two additional great-grandchildren.

At her request, there will be no visitation. After cremation, there will be a private family graveside service at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
