Shawn cherished his favorite hobbies, which included gardening, cooking, spending time at the beach and doting on his pets, Archer and Bernie. He found solace in nature and loved being outdoors, especially near water.
Professionally, Shawn excelled in the hospitality industry, where he achieved numerous advancements throughout his career. His proudest accomplishments lay in mentoring others and helping them realize their full potential. He had a remarkable ability to see the absolute best in everyone and made it a point to let them know it.
Shawn Foress had a lasting impact on the lives of others. He was known for his kind and supportive nature, always encouraging those around him to be the best versions of themselves. Shawn's memory will forever be treasured by his loved ones and the many lives he touched along his journey.
Shawn is survived by his partner, James "Jim" Emmons, who meant the world to him. He also leaves behind his mother, Condra Foress (Wageman) and sister, Erica Foress. A small family with big love. Shawn is preceded in death by his father, Gary Foress; grandparents, Jean and Glenn Foress; and grandparents, Rose Lynn and F. Wayne Wageman.
A celebration of Shawn's life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W Saginaw Street., Lansing, MI 48917.
