Sterling “Skip” Hastings was born on January 3, 1964 in Lansing, the son of Marion and Joyce (Smithkey) Hastings, and passed away on January 3, 2016 at the age of 52 as a result of complications following surgery. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion in 2010. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother, Joyce; son, Nicholas Dennison; girlfriend, Andrea Chubb; his devoted dog, “Isabella”; and a host of friends and relatives. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Deepdale Memorial Park, Lansing, MI.
