Steven Leslie Brown

Steve was a devoted and loving family man whose warmth and strength touched everyone who knew him! Known for his fiery spirit and deep compassion, Steve brought both energy and comfort to those around him throughout his life!

Steve found joy in life's simple pleasures: playing cards, doing puzzles, watching movies, hunting, fishing and above all spending cherished time with his family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Janet Brown; children, Angie Brown and Marvin Shellito; along with his grandchildren; great grandchildren; his sister Eunice Chedester; and his many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kevin, Larry, and William (Skip) Brown; son-in-law, Brian Brockway; and his grandson, Gabriel Shellito.

A funeral service for Steve will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 at 12:00 pm with visitation starting at 10:00 am at the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI 48612. A graveside service will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W Grand River Ave, Lansing, MI 48906.
