Susie graduated from Vestaburg High School in the class of 1965. She worked at General Motors and was a member of United Auto Workers from 1978-2008
Susie enjoyed remodeling houses, design/decorating, landscaping and reading.
She is survived by her son, Eric (Monica) Newman of Eagle; sisters, Jane LaLonde of Vestaburg and Debbie (Doug) Snacker of Petoskey; brother, Terry Tate of Sumner; as well as her loving grandchildren, John Newman and Eva Newman; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
Susie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steve Sleight.
Visitation at Gorsline Runciman Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service at 2 p.m.
