Sydney Arthur MacKenzie

Sydney attended Lansing Eastern High School and graduated in 1970. He then went on to attend Lansing Community College, where he earned an associates degree in programming.

Sydney retired from Dart Container after a career of over twenty years as a programmer, database administrator and application support.

In his free time, Sydney could often be found tending to his garden or birdwatching. He loved animals and enjoyed his many adopted dogs and cats and garden visitors.

Sydney is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Norabelle MacKenzie, as well as his brothers, Ralph MacKenzie, John MacKenzie, and James MacKenzie.

Sydney is survived by his brother, Scott MacKenzie, his sister-in-law Judy MacKenzie, and his nieces and nephews, Kaitlin (James) Martin, James (Jessica) MacKenzie, and Matthew MacKenzie.

The family would like to thank the Grand Ledge Police Department for their assistance and support for Sydney over the last few years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
