Ted married Lois Anne Hildreth in Ferndale, Michigan on November 10, 1951. Ted and Lois moved from Detroit to Warren in 1962 and then relocated to Lansing in 1975. His greatest achievement was his 64 years of wonderful wedded bliss to his blind date champion, Lois. They raised a great family of four children to whom they gave their never-ending love, support, and guidance. Ted enlisted in the Michigan National Guard in November 1950 and retired 34+ years later in February 1985 after attaining the rank of Colonel and the position of Chief of Staff for the Michigan National Guard. His favorite times were either in the woods hunting or out on the water fishing.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Lois; brother, Edward Puzio; and sister, Jane Grabowski. Surviving to cherish Ted’s memory are his sister, Mary Krzyminski; four children, Patricia (Joseph) Mulawa, Michael (Laura) Puzio, Katherine (Clyde) Miller, and Robert Puzio; ten grandchildren, Jason, Karen and Adam Mulawa, Claire, Alessandra, and Brianna Puzio, Joshua Miller, Jacob Miller, Audrey Heckroth and Melissa Landrum; four great-grandchildren, Emma Miller, Macie Miller, Cole Heckroth and Lucas Huff. A memorial gathering will take place at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E.
