Teresa grew up in San Luis Valley, Colorado and attended Monte Vista High School. She later followed her passion for education and became a teacher and mentor at South Middle School in Aurora, Colorado. She met the love of her life, David, in 1993. They created a beautiful life together, eventually moving back to David's hometown in Michigan in 2018.
Teresa's fun-loving spirit was a beacon that lit up every room she entered. She had a heart full of warmth and a smile that could brighten the darkest days.
One of Teresa's joys in life was being surrounded by the beauty of nature. Whether it was the rhythmic waves crashing against the shore or the gentle rustle of leaves in a serene forest, Teresa found solace and happiness in the embrace of the natural world. Her love for the outdoors was evident in every sun-soaked beach day and every peaceful nature walk she enjoyed.
Teresa's sweet and soft-spoken nature endeared her to all who crossed her path. Her kindness and compassion were boundless, making her a source of comfort and support for those in need. She will be dearly missed and loved by all who knew her.
Teresa was the beloved wife of David Nolan; loving mother of Joseph (Kristy) Gonzales and Jamie Safar; daughter of the late Jesse and Liva Gonzales; cherished grandmother of Jaedyn Turner and Kiana Gonzales; dear sister of Alan (Sandra) Pacheco-Gonzales, Richard "Rick" Gonzales, Julie (Art) Aguirre and Shirley Gonzales; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; and special friend of Dorie Vazquez-Nolan, Lisa Foster, Brenda DeMyers, Jeannine Everett, Shirley Nolan, Phyllis Branson, Linda Leek and Michelle Jensen.
A memorial service for Teresa will be held in Colorado at a later date.
