Theresa Frendt

Theresa passed on September 21, 2010 at the University of Michigan Cancer Center after a two-year struggle with leukemia. Theresa was born on May 26, 1940 to Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Anna) Guziak in Port Huron, MI. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and a brother, Michael. She was married to Charles W. Frendt on August 31, 1963. They have four children, Lynn (Andy) Shotwell of Arlington, VA; James Frendt of Lansing; Janice Frendt also of Lansing; and Michelle (Kevin) Roller of Dexter, MI. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Morgan (15) and Marisa (12) Shotwell; along with Matthew (9), Kelsey (7), Isabella (5), Alexis (3) and Collin Roller (14 mos). She is also survived by her brothers, Ray (Marge) Guziak of Grand Junction, CO; Donald Guziak of Port Huron, MI; Gerald Guziak of San Francisco, CA; and Thomas (Patsy) Guziak of Hurst, TX; and her sister, Mary Jean (Tom) Devereaux of Lexington, MI. Theresa enjoyed golf and family events, and was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones. She had a strong belief in her faith and put her trust in God. She has now gone to meet Him. Funeral Liturgy is 10:30 AM Friday, September 24, 2010 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 1-4 PM and 6-9 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil service at the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw Street, Lansing, and Friday one hour prior to mass at church. Interment will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Riverlawn Cemetery in Marysville, MI.
