OBITUARY
Thomas Bernard Ankney
September 30, 1965 – April 4, 2021
Thomas Bernard Ankney, 55, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born on September 30, 1965 in Mason, Michigan to Glenn and Margurite Ankney.
Thomas was a mechanic, a truck driver, and true motorhead all the way around who loved anything and everything that had wheels and engine power. He particularly loved cars and trucks and especially loved his Chevy Camaros – a 1989 model that holds significant sentiment to the family, especially to his daughter, Wendi and a later 2011 model.
Thomas took great pride in having worked for McDonnell-Douglas and later for Hearns Enterprises doing what he loved, truck driving and mechanics. He is remembered as never having idle hands as he always, always, always had plenty of projects to work on.
Thomas is survived and cherished by one daughter Wendi Jo (Matt) Garrod; one son Thomas Ray Ankney and his mother, Lavon Steinbacher of Coleman, Michigan; two brothers Timothy and Glenn, Jr.; three sisters Connie, Cheryl, and Cindy; eighteen nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and three special best friends John Farr, Doug Smith, and Nick Hearns. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Leroy Ankney, Sr. and Margurite Ethel Ankney.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Thomas’ family through a GoFundMe account. Any funds raised will be used for a future memorial service to reflect and honor Thomas’ life. The link to the GoFundMe account is as follows: http://gf.me/u/zpu5my

I remember Tom because my mom and my son came down and saw them and my son had a party for one and we as kids always got along and we always went to Florida to visit them too
