Tony was the kind of man that taught you a lot about life. He taught you how to laugh, love, make family your first priority, work hard, have faith, and most importantly how to live life to the fullest. Throughout his battle with cancer these qualities stayed with him in his laughter and his will to stay active…even on his toughest of days. He is a true symbol of strength and determination. 

I cannot look back on my childhood without remembering the countless water fights, snowball fights, pranks, and life lessons he taught me. Tony walked into my life when I was five years old as a neighbor who took my hand to show me around a new place that I called home, a brand new neighborhood, a new world for me. He left this world as my Grandpa that had a lasting impact on my life in countless ways. 

Thank you God for giving us the time we had with Tony. He brought joy, laughter, and memories to all of our lives…that we will never forget. 

Rest in Peace Abuelo…

Very sad to hear about Tony.  Though I have not seen him in years, I always smile when I think about the memories I have of the Castillo family.  I will always remember his genuine and caring nature and all of the silly jokes.  Diane and Doris, I pray for God's peace to carry you through this sad time. Tony and his brother, George, are in some of my fondest childhood memories. They would come out to our farm in St.Johns and work for my dad when  Fisher Body was shut down for model change-over. They both made us kids laugh at the things they said about farming and farm animals. We so looked forward to them coming. I will never forget them.

I will miss Tony very much I waited on him for years at else sombrero where I work he came every day and I enjoyed his conversation and sense of humor. He was a great person and his family will be in my prayers.

Anna and Lalo Marinez send their condolances to Tony and his family.  I taught at Reo Elementary School for many years and Tony made book cases, benches, blocks, and whatever I needed built for my classroom, all I had to do was ask and within a few days Tony would knock on my classroom door and  there he would be with a big smile on his face and a new piece of furniture he had made for my classroom.  Sometimes he would just stop by to watch the students or listen to them read a story.  He truly enjoyed being with the children and he would always encourage them and tell them how smart they were.  Often times I would stop and have breakfast with the guys at  "El Sombrero" and he and his brothers and friends would be there having a great time telling stories and laughing.  Tony had a love for life, was always very respectful of other people's opinions, he was a kind and gentle man and he will be missed.

Doris and Diana Im so sorry to hear about Tonys passing.  He was such a great and funny man.  I can remember when i was a kid when Tony and my dad would go fishing in the town that i now live.  Always remember the good times and know that he will always be with you. He is now with God and in his hands. You both are in my heart and in my prayers.

Aunt Doris and Diana - I was very saddened to hear of Uncle Tony's passing.  He was a great, loving man who could put a smile on everyones face!   He will be missed by many!

I know that Tony will be missed.  I can remember
when the Castillo family would get togetheir it 
was never quiet,  There was always stories to tell
and plenty of laughter.   My Mother, Narcisa, loved
talking to all her Castillo cousin's.     Tony was a
very caring and loving person,  We always greeted
each other with a big hug, that was the Castillo way.
I will miss his sense of humor and his laugh was
unique.
