Venino Franco Bermudez, 56, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on June 4, 2026, and has been welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord, where every struggle has been laid to rest and peace is everlasting.
Born on June 12, 1969, Venino carried joy throughout his journey. Though life was not always easy, he remained deeply connected to the people he loved and found comfort in the things that brought him happiness, especially music and family.
Venino had a passion for music that stayed with him throughout his life. He loved listening to music, especially Metallica, writing songs and expressing himself through his guitar, drums and harmonica. Music was more than a hobby; it was part of who he was. Whether playing an instrument or sharing songs with others, he found a way to connect with the world through melody and rhythm.
Those who knew Venino will remember seeing him at Hunter's Park, one of his favorite places to spend the day, enjoying fresh air, conversation and familiar faces. Those simple moments brought him happiness and will forever be part of the memories he leaves behind.
Family was also at the heart of Venino's life. He treasured time spent with his many primos and primas, nieces and nephews and loved ones. The laughter, stories and memories shared with family brought him great joy and remained a constant source of comfort.
Venino was preceded in death by his father Tomas Bermudez; his mother, Maria Bermudez-Fuentes; his brother, Juan Bermudez; his sister, Irma Jimenez; and his nephew, Anthony "Tony" Bermudez.
He is survived by his sisters, Irene Courtright, Elva Medrano and Rosa Bermudez; Anthony Garza, whom he loved as his own son; and by his beloved nieces and nephews, Jose Presas (Marisa), Sylvia Beckner (Brian), Victoria Jimenez, Heirika Bermudez and Reynaldo Medrano, along with many great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Those who knew Venino remember a man who loved deeply, found solace in music and treasured his family. Today, we take comfort in knowing that he has gone to be with Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, reunited with those who went before him and finally resting in perfect peace.
