Sorry to read today in the Lansing Catholic alumni publication that one of my best friends from St. Casimir had passed away. In 6th grade Bill joined our class byway of Jackson. We both lived in the Colonial Village area and spent a lot of time hanging out. Bills family owned The House of Royalty pool hall on S. Cedar Street where we spent time honing our skills. I knew his parents, brother, and sister and was a constant visitor to their home. We stayed close through Junior High but our paths diverged once I started Sexton High School and Bill to Lansing Catholic. Coincidently, I substitute teach at Lansing Catholic and have regularly looked at the 1973 class photo that hangs in the hallway wondering what became of my former St Casimir classmates. Now I will pay tribute to my old best friend the next time I look.

Sorry to hear this sad news.  What a fun and crazy guy, sure will miss your smiling face.

Remembering times at O'Rafferty, ie group owning a car in 9th grade; your Dodge Dart, the pool hall, Cedar Point gas money from the fountain, the bowling alley, man Billie, you knew how to find fun in life. Rest easy my friend

I am saddened to hear of Bill's passing and sorry for your loss of him.  I had not seen Bill in ages, but spent the morning of our 40th high school reunion a couple months back together with Bill in the golf cart passing our refreshments to the golfers, which Bill made into a non-stop comedy routine - poking fun at himself and everyone else - he had everyone in stiches.  I'll remember him that way.

Our deepest condolences on the loss of your husband/soulmate.  Bill came to Potterville and made an impression on everyone with his community involvement, he opened up the beautiful Athena Hall, helped in the community constantly, used his golf cart to transport elderly and handicap people during Gizzard Fest.  Our prayers are for Athena and you, Margherita, if there is anything we can do, let us know.

We sat out on your back deck, enjoying a steak and a beer, enjoying a friendship renewed after 35 years. Looking forward to future engagements and great times both past and future. Bill- There are not too many people that I can call my friend, but you truly were a GREAT friend!  I will miss you dearly my fellow Spartan!  Every time I watch a Tiger or Spartan game, I will be thinking of you!  RIP...my fellow Spartan.  Until we meet again.  Go Green!  Go White!
