William Jay Decker

Bill was born December 2nd, 1949, in Ypsilanti, MI, to Leslie Jay Decker and Priscilla Ann Corran. Raised in Bath, MI, Bill attended Bath High School before serving in the US Army. After his service, he worked in maintenance at Michigan State University. When he wasn’t working, Bill loved fishing, H O Trains, and working with his hands. He was always helping friends and family with their cars, tinkering with projects, and working on projects around the house (even if there was nothing to do, he could find something to work on).

Bill is preceded in his passing by his wife, Rose Lynn Decker, and his parents, Leslie Jay Decker and Priscilla Ann Decker. Surviving Bill are his children, Melissa (Les) Ceccacci, Brent (Bridget) Decker, and Kristy (Steven) Decker; step-children, Cynthia Jo Gresham and Miach Gipson; grandchildren, Austin, Brent Jr., Brandon, Damion, Devon, Dylan, Marisa, Kaylee, and Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Aubrianna, Avianna, Illyana, and Iris; siblings, Steven Decker, Edward (Sue) Decker, Patricia (Larry) Yockey, Kathy Scanlon, and Leslie (Pamela) Decker; ten nephews and eight nieces; and two cats, Highway and Socks.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 30th from 3-7 PM at 891 W. Kalamo Highway, Charlotte, MI 48813. Please call Melissa at (517) 614-5276 for more information.
