William Virgil Rhynard

William Virgil Rhynard, affectionately known as Bill passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. He was 61 years old. Born on July 2, 1965, in Saint Johns, Michigan, William brought joy and light to everyone he encountered throughout his life.

William was the beloved husband of Julie Nim and a devoted father to Amanda Rhynard, William Nim, and Kylie Nim. He cherished his family deeply and found immense happiness in spending time with them. Whether gardening alongside Kylie, fixing lawnmowers with William, traveling with Julie, or visiting the shooting range with his son-in-law Avery, William’s favorite moments were those shared with his loved ones.

He was predeceased by his parents, Virgil Rhynard and Ida Crowley. Their memory lived on through him as he carried forward their legacy of kindness and love.

Known for his warm heart and infectious personality, William had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. He never met a stranger—every encounter was an opportunity to make a new friend. His humor and optimism were unmatched; he had a gift for finding the silver lining in any situation and lifting the spirits of those around him with a well-timed joke or a kind word.

William’s presence was magnetic—he loved fiercely and wholeheartedly. His genuine care for others left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him. To say he will be missed dearly is an understatement; his absence leaves a void that can never truly be filled.

The family had chosen to not have a service, but if you would like to say your goodbyes a memorial service will be held on July 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gorsline and Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E Michigan Ave. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 17, 2026, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Vue Country Hall 5869 N Michigan Rd. This is a remembrance of William (Bill) Rhynard. There will be lanterns sent off at the end of the event to remember the life that he had lived.
