Age 92, passed away April 4, 2017. Born March 17, 1925 in Grand Ledge, MI.

Bill was a very proud veteran of WW II serving with the Army Military Police in Europe. He retired from Fisher-Body with over 30 years of service from Skilled trades. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #602. When he was younger, Bill served as a volunteer firefighter on the Delta Twp. Fire Department and a Grand Ledge Police

Officer. Bill enjoyed his life with family and friends. He had many great adventures in travel with his wife and family throughout his years. He enjoyed his mornings with the "Romeos" at the Grand Ledge McDonald's waving and smiling to all who passed by to brighten their day.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, May; 2 daughters, Deneice Webb, and Judith (Robert) Preston; and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving children, William Zimmerman, Jr. (Pam), Mia Tioli (David), Mary (William) Pfaff, Lois (Dennis) Ross, Brucette (Richard) Regan; 20 grandchildren and several beloved great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Scott and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Friday, April 7, with services 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, with Rev. Lori O'Dea officiating.
