Zaide Belle Wendland

Born July 18, 1935 in Dearborn, the daughter of the late Louis A. and Ruth Ellen (Vorhees) Larson, passed away December 13th at the age of 77. Zaide was a graduate of Northville High School in Northville, MI the class of 1953. She married Bruce E. Wendland on September 29, 1956. Zaide grew up in Novi, MI, where she lived until she married Bruce, who also grew up in Novi. They moved to Lansing, MI after marriage and have resided there ever since. Zaide attended business college and worked at Burroughs Corporation, Howard Sobers Driveaway and Reo Motors as well as working as a full time homemaker. Zaide is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Bruce; daughters, Georgia (Marc) Therrien of Grand Rapids, MI, Rebecca (Glenn) Liptack of Phoenix, AZ, Melinda (Michael) Greenlees of Surprise, AZ and Amanda (Thomas) Helms of Ovid, MI; grandchildren, Abigail, Millicent, Pamela, Aaron, Jonathan and Samantha; great grandchildren, Henrik and Abigail; sisters, Karen Bingham and Kristine Ritter; brother, Gregory Larson; and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Allen and Carol Renner. She was preceded in death by her parents; Louis and Ruth Ellen Larson; stepmother, Georgia Haerr Larson; and brother, Louis Donald Larson. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 28th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI with the Rev. Dr. William Ritter officiating. Interment will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi. The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes.
