Al graduated from St. Pete High School and spent his career in plumbing. He owned and operated McGill Plumbing, Inc. for more than 50 years.
He married Joelle Montani Wood, they were friends for 45 years, Partners for 15 years, and married for 7 years.
Al supported local charities and youth sports programs. Al and Joelle spent summers on their Mountain in Balsam, NC. He loved the outdoors, gardening, teaching gun safety and how to shoot, skiing, fishing, raising his chickens, traveling and entertaining family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joelle Montani Wood; children, Monica Wood and Scott Wood; step- children, Jodi Penu and Michael Englund; grandchildren, Shane Wood, Christopher Wood, and Samantha Wood; great-grandchildren, Dennis Wood, Dominique Vinson, Alexus Wood, Alexandria Sager and Brayden Sager.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL.
