A native of Alabama, Amy was born December 27, 1935 in Birmingham Alabama and lived in Coxey, Limestone County Alabama until her late teenage years when she moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. There she graduated from high school.
Amy was the only child of the late Critz Coxe and Jewell Glasgow and the great granddaughter of the late America Houston Wallace and Thaddeus Montrose Coxe. Amy married Edward Wray Finch Il of Greensboro and had one child Edward Wray Finch Ill. In 1990 Amy married Lawrence F. Lindsay, Major, USA (retired) and made their home in Manassas, Virginia before retiring to Florida.
Amy was a long term member of the Anona United Methodist Church in Largo, Florida. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Seminole; son, Edward (Elizabeth) of Clearwater; her daughter, Laura Brunnand of St. Petersburg; stepson, Alan Lindsay (Cynthia) of Manassas Virginia; stepdaughter, Heather of Seffner, Florida; daughter, Judy (David) Johnston of Seminole; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo, FL and a graveside service for family and friends will be held on Sunday January 25, 2026 at 3pm.
