Angela "Angie" Maria Cafaro

Angela (Angie) Maria Cancellieri-Cafaro was born October 21st, 1932 and passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family 5:37pm Wednesday March 15th at Suncoast Hospice Care Center on 102nd Ave in Pinellas Park. Angela was 90 years old, and passed away due to COPD and heart failure.

Angela (Angie) was predeceased by her parents, John and Carmella Cancellieri from Hartford, CT; siblings, Dolly Conochalla, Sal “Toodie” Cancellieri, Janette Lubas; and her husband’s, Paul Angelo Cancellieri and Alberto Cafaro.

Angela is survived by her daughters, Paula Linda Cancellieri (Dan Hartbaugher), and Lisa Cancellieri Register (Glenn T. Register Sr.); grandson, Glenn T. Register II (Amy Register); great granddaughter, Lydia Janice Register; nieces and nephews, Angela Conochalla, John and Gene Cancellieri, and Mark and Allison Lubas.

Angela was born in Hartford, Connecticut where she went to Barnard Brown school and graduated from Buckley High School in Hartford, CT. Angie grew up on South Street. She worked for the State of Connecticut as an administrator in licensing, worked at Atlantic Screw Works in Historic Hartford, CT, and was a real estate agent for Century 21 for 13 years. She spent all her family vacations at Great Hammock Beach in Old Saybrook, CT. In 1972, Angela’s family moved to Florida along with 5 other families who were all close cousins.

In 1951 Angela married Paul Angelo Cancellieri. Together they had two daughters, Paula and Lisa born in Hartford, CT.

Angela worked as a volunteer for 13 years at Pinellas Education Foundation as a front desk volunteer. She brought a smile to everyone's face as she greeted them in.

Graveside service will be held 12pm Friday May 12th, 2023 at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774.

A celebration of life will be held in May in Largo, FL.
