Ann was born in Providence, RI, on Feb. 1, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (McMahon) Collins of Providence, RI. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert E. Tougas, with whom she was married for more than 50 years. They were residents of Largo, FL for over 45 years.
Ann graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing, in Providence, RI. A registered nurse, Ann worked for many years at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. When she and Bob moved to Florida, Ann worked at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater until she retired. Ann and Bob were committed to feeding and caring for the homeless in the Largo/Clearwater area. They were devoted members of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Indian Rocks Beach, FL.
She was the sister of Alice M. Pare and brother-in-law of Thomas J. Pare, of East Providence, RI and the late James T. Collins, of Providence, RI. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marion Collins of Smithfield, RI and several nephews and nieces.
