Anne was born on July 1, 1944, in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, to David and Hildia Lennox. She grew up on an apple farm in the small town of Pickering, where she developed the strength, independence, and adventurous spirit that would define her throughout her life. Anne graduated from Pickering High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Toronto, where she also played ice hockey.
Anne began her career as a registered nurse and served as the head nurse of the psychiatric ward at North York General Hospital in Toronto, Canada. After retiring from nursing and moving to Florida, Anne began a second successful career as a licensed real estate agent, specializing in vacation beachfront rentals. True to her determined nature, she passed her real estate exam on her first attempt and remained a licensed real estate agent for 36 years.
Anne married her beloved husband, Wallace, on June 15, 1985. Together they built a life filled with family, friendships, travel, laughter, and adventure.
Anne was an artist in every sense of the word. She was especially gifted in stained glass and created numerous beautiful pieces, including clocks, mirrors, lamps, chandeliers, and many other works of art. She sold her stained glass creations, was commissioned for numerous custom pieces, and also shared her talent by teaching others the art of stained glass at a local facility. Her creativity, patience, and eye for beauty live on in the many pieces she made and the people she inspired.
A true traveler from a young age, Anne explored the world with courage and curiosity. Right after high school, she hitchhiked throughout Europe and South America, beginning a lifetime of adventure. At one point, she cooked for more than 200 people at a ski lodge in Switzerland, a fitting example of both her boldness and her remarkable ability in the kitchen.
Anne was an amazing cook and baker. She was known for preparing enough food to feed a small army and for baking birthday cakes for all of her loved ones. Her meals, cakes, and gatherings were expressions of love, generosity, and care.
Anne also loved to exercise and remained active nearly until the end of her life. She especially loved swimming and would swim more than 80 laps on a daily basis. Her discipline, energy, and determination were an inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Anne played the piano and organ, spoke French fluently, and had a lifelong love of fashion, shiny jewelry, and shopping. She knew the clerks at all the major department stores by name and had a way of making everyone she met feel seen and remembered.
Anne was a proud dual citizen and maintained deep connections to both Canada and the United States. She treasured her friendships from Canada and had a gift for keeping those relationships alive across distance and time. She never met a stranger, and her warmth, confidence, and vibrant personality made people feel welcome wherever she went.
Above all, Anne was devoted to her family. She put great effort into keeping her family connected, close, and together. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a birthday cake, a phone call, a gathering, or a thoughtful gesture, Anne showed her love through action. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and the bonds she nurtured will remain part of her lasting legacy.
Anne was a member of the Indian Shores Women’s Club and the Indian Shores Property Owners Association. She loved her community and brought her distinctive spirit, elegance, humor, creativity, and kindness to all who knew her.
Anne is survived by her husband, Wallace; her children, David Weylie (Cristina), Philip Weylie (Georgina), Donald Weylie (Daniela), and Catherine Weylie; her grandchildren, Montana Weylie and Magnolia Weylie; her brothers, Robert Lennox (Catherine), and William Lennox; and many dear friends and family members throughout Florida, Canada, and around the world.

Anne lived a life of independence, beauty, creativity, adventure, and love. She leaves behind cherished memories, the art she created, the meals she prepared, the friendships she nurtured, and the family she worked so lovingly to keep connected. Anne’s favorite saying was, “Life is not a dress rehearsal,” and that is exactly how she lived — fully, boldly, beautifully, and with love.
