Ardis Jean Rovelstad

Ardis Jean Rovelstad was born to Charles and Myrtle Reppien on March 22, 1928. She attended grade school in Jackson, MN and graduated from high school in Crookston, MN, graduated from St. Olaf College in 1950, completed a year's dietetic internship at the University of Chicago Clinics and was a dietitian at Chicago Lying-In Hospital for two years and at Minneapolis General Hospital for one year. She consulted in dietetics at several nursing homes and taught nutrition classes at the St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing for many years.

She took flying lessons and received her private pilot's license at age 40. She and her husband enjoyed flying and took many interesting trips around the country. On September 1st, 1951 she married Roger Rovelstad and they had three children: Steven (Lynn), Laura Gronfield and AmyJo Rovelstad. They had two granddaughters, Sarah (Beres) and Kimberly (Swanson), three grandsons, Keith (Erin), Nathan and Samuel and six great grandchildren: Oliver, Noah and Adeline Beres and Millicent, Harvey and Greta, Winifred Swanson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura, husband Roger and Jill (long lasting friend of Amy).

The committal service will take place at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, on January 24, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.

A reception will follow at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, on January 24, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
