

96 of Seminole, FL passed away on Dec. 30,2010 at the Seminole Nursing Pavilion. Arthur was born on April 19, 1914 in Topton, PA (Berks Co.) and moved to this area in 1985 from Williamsburg, PA. He graduated from Emmaus High School, Emmaus, PA in 1932 then from Pennsylvania State University in 1937 with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts Education. In 1952 he received a Master's degree in Education from Pennsylvania State University. Arthur taught Industrial Arts at Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, PA for 20 years. In 1958 he was elected by the Williamsburg School Board to the position of Supervising Principal of the Williamsburg School District, a position he held until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church of Largo and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, PA where he was a Trustee, President of the Presbyterian Cemetery Association and also served as church Treasurer for many years. He served as Treasurer of the Williamsburg Betterment Corporation for 17 years. He was very active in education circles serving on the Executive Committee of the Central District of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (P.S.E.A.). He also was a Past President of the Blair County Branch of the P.S.E.A. A member of the Lion's Club for over 60 years. His last affiliation was with the Clearwater Lions Club where he was Lion of the Year in 1996-1997. After moving to Florida he enjoyed shuffle board, bingo, playing cards especially pinochle. Arthur also loved football, rooting for Penn State and baseball, first a Pittsburgh Pirate fan and later a Tampa Bay Ray fan. Arthur is survived by a loving daughter, Jane R. (Charles) Meyer of Seminole, two grandchildren, Kelly M. (Geoff) Foster of Largo, FL and Jeffrey C. (Kellie) Meyer of Springfield, VA and five great grandchildren, Adam C. Foster, Louis T. Foster, Owen G. Foster all of Largo and Calvin J. Meyer & Austin J. Meyer both of Springfield, VA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Frances Fay who died in 1985 and a son, David Fay who died in 1990. Also his parents, Amandus Z. & Annie (Shankweiler) Rohrbach, brother, Earl James and sister, Helen Mae Rohrbach. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 3:30 pm at the Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 727-562-2080.
