Bernie was a lifelong enthusiast of model trains, coin collecting, gardening, and hiking.
Bernie is preceded in death by his father Bernard Gumz Sr. He is survived by his mother Thelma, son William, sister Patricia, brothers Don and John Gumz (married to Sandra Gumz). He is also survived by mother of his son and former spouse Lara.
A celebration of Bernie’s life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. 33774. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor Bernie’s memory, sharing stories of a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
