Baer, Betty Grinder, 86 of St. Pete Beach died Sunday Sept 8th at Morton Plant Rehab Center. Born Nov 27, 1926 in Weirton, W. Virginia she was the daughter of George and Vera Hergovich Mraovich. Betty was a Beautician, she owned and operated Bettye Hair Designers in Washington, DC. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Pinellas Park. She married Leon Baer Jr. Sept. 1990; he died Sept. 1991. Betty is survived by one son Gregory R. and his wife Liz Grinder of Rockville, MD, daughter Gina A. Hooker of Dunedin, FL, son in law George A. Hooker of Largo, FL, four brothers Robert, Eli, Sam and Nick, sister Sophia, grandchildren George and Christopher Hooker of Florida and Gregory and Sarah Grinder of Washington, DC. Visitation will be 2-4:30pm Thursday Sept. 12th at Moss Feaster Funeral Home-Serenity Gardens Chapel, Largo. A service will be at 4:30pm at the Funeral Home.
