Born on July 26, 1953, in Winthrop, Massachusetts, Brenda was the beloved daughter of the late Jessie Wintherell and Herbert Ingersoll. She was a proud graduate of Winthrop High School and went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from Bunker Hill Community College, dedicating her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse, substitute teacher, and volunteer.
Brenda was deeply involved in her community, both in Webster, MA, where she raised her two children, and in Clearwater, FL, where she eventually retired. She was an active member of several organizations, and her unwavering dedication earned her the title of “Clearwater YMCA Volunteer of the Year.” Her love for being involved reflected her generous spirit and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her.
She had a passion for many things—New England sports, the arts, and Motown music, which often filled her home. Brenda was known for her warmth, quick wit, and incredible cooking. Her legendary taco nights brought together friends and family, creating cherished memories filled with laughter, love, and good food.
Above all, Brenda was a devoted mother and Nana. She is survived by her children, Peter Wallace and Aimee Cummings; her daughter-in-law, Meagan Cummings; and her grandson, Flynn Cummings. She also leaves behind her siblings, Marion Goddard, Donald Ingersoll, Richard Ingersoll, and Herbert Ingersoll.
Brenda was predeceased by her siblings Fred, Nancy, and Kenneth Ingersoll.
