Buenaventura (Ventura) Plaja MD, 92 of Largo died April 16, 2011 at Bay Pines Veterans Hospital. He was born in Barcelona Spain and has been a Florida resident since 1986 coming from Puerto Rico. He was a medical doctor for the Veterans Administration of San Juan. He was a Roman Catholic and a US Army veteran serving during World War II. Dr Plaja was a member of the American Medical Association. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Josefina (Fernandez) Plaja. Graveside services will be held on Friday April 22nd at 11:30 am at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel Mausoleum.
