COTTRELL, Carol A, 76 of Largo, FL passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Oak Manor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. Carol was born on October 5, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late William Walter & Ethelyn S (Pellow) Kirkby. She graduated from Clearwater High School and then from Florida State University. Carol retired as a finance clerk for Pinellas County. She was a member of Anona United Methodist Church. Carol is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Robert Cottrell of Largo, FL, son Larry (Diane) Cottrell of Seminole, FL and a daughter Laura. Also surviving are three grandchildren Bobby, Christopher and Lisa. Memorial contributions may be offered to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, 51 Children’s Way, Enterprise, FL 32725. Friends are calling on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 1 pm with Memorial Services at 1 pm all at the Anona United Methodist Church, 13233 Indian Rocks Road, largo, FL 33774. Carol was one of the sweetest and best people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Even though our time together was short - we developed a very deep respect and love for each - she will be missed. Praying for Bob, Larry and Diane.
